[Narrator]: Dad took Biff and Chip into a street fair in town.
아빠는 비프와 칩을 데리고 마을의 길거리 축제에 갔어요.
[Dad]: ‘The street fair looks fun,’ said Dad.
“길거리 축제가 아주 재미있어 보이는구나.” 아빠가 말했어요.
[Chip]: Look at the man juggling balls!
저기 저글링하는 남자 좀 봐요.
[Biff]: Wow!
우와~!

[Narrator]: The street fair was very exciting.
길거리 축제는 정말 재미있었어요.
[Biff]: Look at them. They had their faces painted!
저 사람들 좀 봐. 얼굴에 색칠을 했어.
[Chip]: ‘Let’s do that!’ shouted Chip.
“우리도 해보자!” 칩이 소리쳤어요.

[Narrator]: There was a face panting stall and Biff and Chip saw a lady painting the faces of two children.
페이스페인팅 하는 곳에서 한 여자가 두 아이들의 얼굴에 색칠하는 것을 비프와 칩이 구경하고 있었어요.
[Biff]: ‘I’d love to have my face painted.’ said Biff.
“나도 얼굴에 색칠 하고 싶다.” 비프가 말했어요.
[Chip]: Come on, Biff!
그래! 하자 비프.

[Narrator]: Kipper and Mum were having a nice quiet afternoon without the others, but suddenly Dad, Biff and Chip popped their heads round the door!
그 시간 집에서는 엄마와 키퍼가 한가로운 오후를 보내고 있었어요. 갑자기 그때 아빠, 비프, 칩이 집으로 돌아왔어요.
[Dad, Chip, Biff]: Surprise!
짜잔~깜짝 놀랐지?
[Chip]: ‘We’ve had our faces painted! ‘laughed Chip.
“우리 얼굴에 이렇게 그림을 그렸어요.” 칩이 웃으며 말했어요.
[Mum]: ‘Goodness me!’ laughed Mum.
“오우~깜짝이야.” 엄마도 웃었어요.

[Narrator]: Mum wanted to take a photograph of the painted faces.
엄마는 이렇게 예쁘게 얼굴에 색칠한 모습을 사진에 담아두고 싶었어요.
[Mum]: ‘Smile, everyone!’ called Mum.
“자~모두들 미소를 지어요.” 엄마가 말했어요.
[Dad, Biff and Chip]: Smile!

Biff and Chip went to a street fair in town with Dad one Saturday afternoon. Have you been to a street fair? Biff and Chip found something that became a big surprise for Mum and Kipper.
어느 토요일 오후 비프와 칩은 아빠와 함께 길거리 축제에 다녀왔어요. 길거리 축제에 가본적 있나요? 길거리 축제에서 돌아온 비프와 칩은 엄마와 키퍼를 깜짝 놀라게 했답니다.

[Narrator]: One Saturday, when Dad took Biff and Chip into town to do some shopping, there was a big surprise for all three of them. A street fair was being held. ‘The street fair looks fun,’ said Dad, as they stopped to watch a man juggling balls in the air. ‘I think we’ll have a look around it before we go home.’ ‘Why are so many people dressed up?’ asked Biff. ‘It’s just for fun,’ said Dad.
어느 토요일 아빠는 비프와 칩을 데리고 백화점에 가고 있었어요. 가는 길에 아빠와 쌍둥이는 깜짝 놀랄만한 광경을 목격했답니다. 길거리 축제가 한창 열리고 있었어요. “길거리 축제가 정말 재미있어 보이는걸.” 어떤 남자가 저글링을 하는 모습을 보며 아빠가 말했어요. “집에 가기 전에 잠시 들려서 구경을 좀 하자.” “왜 이렇게 많은 사람들이 재미있게 옷을 입었어요?” 비프가 물었어요. “그냥 재미있잖아.” 아빠가 말했어요.

[Narrator]: The street fair was very exciting. There were stalls selling things like sweets and cakes, second-hand books, toys, records, and clothes. There were balloon sellers, jumping-bean sellers, and people selling toffee-apples, candy-floss and hot roasted chestnuts. There were musicians and bands playing all kinds of music. ‘I wonder if there’s a face painting stall?’ said Biff.
길거리 축제는 아주 재미있었어요. 길거리 축제에서는 사탕, 케이크, 중고 책, 장난감, 레코드 그리고 옷을 파는 곳이 있었어요. 풍선, 점핑콩, 토피사과, 솜사탕 그리고 볶은 땅콩도 팔고 있었어요. 길거리 축제에는 음악을 신나게 연주하는 음악가들과 밴드도 있었답니다. “얼굴에 그림을 그려주는 곳도 있을까? 비프가 말했어요.

[Narrator]: Biff was right. There was a face painting stall. Biff and Chip saw a sign that said ‘Brenda’ ‘Face painting’. A lady was painting the faces of two children. She had painted the girl’s face to look like a tiger. ‘I’d love to have my face painted,’ said Biff. ‘I wonder if Dad would let us have some money.’ ‘I don’t know,’ said Chip.
비프의 생각이 옳았어요. 얼굴에 예쁘게 그림을 그려주는 곳도 있었어요. 비프와 칩은 “브렌다”, “페이스 페인팅” 이라고 쓰여진 표지판을 보았어요. 그곳에는 한 여자가 두 명의 아이들의 얼굴에 예쁘게 그림을 그려주고 있었어요. 그녀는 여자아이의 얼굴을 호랑이처럼 색칠해주었어요. “나도 얼굴에 그림을 그리고 싶다.” 비프가 말했어요. “아빠가 허락하실지 궁금하네..” “잘 모르겠어.” 칩이 말했어요.

[Narrator]: Kipper and Mum were having a nice quiet afternoon without the others. ‘It’s fun being on our own,’ said Kipper, as he and Mum settled down in the living room, while Mum enjoyed a nice cup of tea. Just then, Dad and the twins arrived. ‘Surprise! Surprise!’ they called and they all popped their heads round the door at the same time. ‘We’ve had our faces painted!’ laughed Chip. ‘Goodness me!’ laughed Mum.
그때 집에서는 엄마와 키퍼가 한가로운 오후를 보내고 있었어요. “우리끼리 있는 것도 재미있어요 엄마.” 엄마와 거실에 앉아서 맛있는 차를 마시며 키퍼가 말했어요. 바로 그때, 아빠와 쌍둥이가 집에 돌아왔어요. “짜~잔” 그들은 큰소리로 인사하며 문에 얼굴을 내밀었어요. “우리 얼굴에 색칠했어요.” 칩이 웃으며 이야기했어요. “어머나 깜짝이야.” 엄마가 웃었어요.

[Narrator]: Mum wanted to take a photograph of the painted faces, but before she took it, she got her make-up and painted Kipper’s face to look like a clown. Kipper was pleased, because he couldn’t help feeling a little bit jealous that Dad and the twins had had such a good time at the street fair. ‘Oh, I forgot Floppy!’ said Mum. She found a pair of huge sunglasses, and put them on Floppy. ‘Smile, everyone.’ called Mum.
엄마는 재미있게 색칠한 얼굴을 사진 찍고 싶었어요. 사진을 찍기 전에 엄마는 화장을 하고 키퍼의 얼굴을 피에로처럼 분장 해 주었어요. 키퍼는 아빠와 길거리 축제에 다녀온 쌍둥이의 모습을 보고 조금은 질투가 났었는데 엄마가 피에로 분장을 해주어서 기분이 좋았답니다. “아! 플로피를 잊을뻔했네.” 엄마가 말했어요. 엄마는 커다란 선글라스를 플로피에게 씌어주었어요. “자~모두들 미소.” 엄마가 말했어요.
