[Narrator]: One Saturday, when Dad took Biff and Chip into town to do some shopping, there was a big surprise for all three of them. A street fair was being held. ¡®The street fair looks fun,¡¯ said Dad, as they stopped to watch a man juggling balls in the air. ¡®I think we¡¯ll have a look around it before we go home.¡¯ ¡®Why are so many people dressed up?¡¯ asked Biff. ¡®It¡¯s just for fun,¡¯ said Dad.

[Narrator]: The street fair was very exciting. There were stalls selling things like sweets and cakes, second-hand books, toys, records, and clothes. There were balloon sellers, jumping-bean sellers, and people selling toffee-apples, candy-floss and hot roasted chestnuts. There were musicians and bands playing all kinds of music. ¡®I wonder if there¡¯s a face painting stall?¡¯ said Biff.

She had painted the girl¡¯s face to look like a tiger. ¡®I¡¯d love to have my face painted,¡¯ said Biff. ¡®I wonder if Dad would let us have some money.¡¯ ¡®I don¡¯t know,¡¯ said Chip.

[Narrator]: Kipper and Mum were having a nice quiet afternoon without the others. ¡®It¡¯s fun being on our own,¡¯ said Kipper, as he and Mum settled down in the living room, while Mum enjoyed a nice cup of tea. Just then, Dad and the twins arrived. ¡®Surprise! Surprise!¡¯ they called and they all popped their heads round the door at the same time. ¡®We¡¯ve had our faces painted!¡¯ laughed Chip. ¡®Goodness me!¡¯ laughed Mum.

[Narrator]: Mum wanted to take a photograph of the painted faces, but before she took it, she got her make-up and painted Kipper¡¯s face to look like a clown. Kipper was pleased, because he couldn¡¯t help feeling a little bit jealous that Dad and the twins had had such a good time at the street fair. ¡®Oh, I forgot Floppy!¡¯ said Mum. She found a pair of huge sunglasses, and put them on Floppy. ¡®Smile, everyone.¡¯ called Mum.
