The pictures tell the story of Kipper¡¯s first day at Nursery school. He doesn¡¯t want to leave Mum, but by the end he doesn¡¯t want to go home!
±×¸²µéÀº Å°ÆÛ°¡ óÀ½À¸·Î À¯Ä¡¿ø¿¡ °¬´ø ÇϷ縦 À̾߱âÇØ ÁÖ°í ÀÖ¾î¿ä. Å°ÆÛ´Â ¾ö¸¶°¡ ¸ÕÀú °¡´Â °ÍÀ» ¿øÇÏÁö ¾Ê¾Ò¾î¿ä. ÇÏÁö¸¸, ³¡¿¡´Â Å°ÆÛ°¡ Áý¿¡ °¡°í ½Í¾î ÇÏÁö ¾Ê¾Ò¾î¿ä!

Read the title of the book, pointing to the words. Talk about the picture. Ask, ¡°What is Kipper doing?¡± Look at the paintings on the wall. Talk about any painting the child has done at school.

W: Let the child hold the book. Ask the child to point to each word of the title as you read it.

C: Page 1, talk about what happened when Mum took Kipper to the school. Ask, ¡°Why do you think he held on to the fence? Can you remember how you felt on your first day?¡±

To help the child to describe objects without pointing to them.
¾ÆÀÌ°¡ ¾Æ¹« Áö½Ã ¾øÀÌ »ç¹°¿¡ ´ëÇØ ¹¦»çÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖµµ·Ï µµ¿ÍÁÝ´Ï´Ù.

¤ýChoose an object in a picture, e.g. the ladybird toy on page 5. Give the child a clue to the object, such as ¡°It¡¯s red with black spots¡± or ¡°It¡¯s round¡±. The child looks at the picture to guess the object you have chosen. You may need to give a second clue, such as ¡°It is quite small¡±.

¤ýPut some warm water, cups, toys and jugs in a washing-up bowl to see what will float and what will sink.
