Kipper and Mum take the bus into town, but they get off, leaving Teddy on the seat. Kipper is very upset. Their only hope to find Teddy is at the Lost Property office.

Read the title on the cover and talk about the picture. Ask, ¡°What do you think might happen?¡± Talk about single-decker and double decker buses. Has the child been on either? Talk about what happened.

C: Page 1, look at Mum and Kipper getting off the bus. Ask, ¡°Why do you think they forgot Teddy?¡±

C: Page 2, ask, ¡°How can you tell that Kipper suddenly remembered him?¡±

C: Pages 4 and 5, talk about Kipper at bedtime. Ask, ¡°What are Biff and Chip trying to do?¡± Encourage the child to say what Kipper was thinking.
