What’s this story about? (무엇에 관한 스토리 인가요?)
One by one, the children get on an inflatable banana in the sea, but when Dad begins to tow it, they all fall off with a splash!
(한 사람씩 아이들은 바다에서 바나나튜브에 오르고 있었습니다. 하지만 아빠가 끌어당기자 아이들은 풍덩 하고 모두 떨어졌습니다.)
Talk Together (다 함께 말해봅시다)
Talk about the cover picture and where the family is. Ask, “What is Dad doing?”
(겉 표지의 그림과 가족이 어디에 있는지에 대해 이야기해 봅니다. “아빤 무얼 하나요?”라고 질문해 봅니다.)
Read the story (이야기를 읽어보세요)
W = Word recognition (단어인지) C = Language comprehension (언어이해)
C: Look at the cover and read the title. Ask, “What do you think Dad is blowing up?”
(겉 표지를 보고 제목을 읽어 봅니다. “아빠가 불고 있는 것은 무엇이라고 생각하나요?” 라고 질문해봅니다.)
W: Read the story together, pointing to each word.
(단어마다 짚어가며 이야기를 함께 읽어 봅니다.)
W: Point out the same letters in ‘get’ and ‘got’. Ask, “Which letters are different?”
(‘get’과 ‘got’에 있는 같은 철자를 짚어내 봅니다. “어떤 철자가 다른가요?” 라고 질문해봅니다.)
C: Talk about what is happening on each page.
(각 페이지마다 어떤 일이 벌어졌는지 이야기해 봅니다.)

ㆍBegin on page 1. Ask children to find a letter ‘o’. Praise them for finding it at the beginning of ‘on’.

ㆍContinue through the book, finding ‘o’ once or twice on each page.
