This story is called ' The little dragon'. You can see who the little dragon is going to be. Mum is making a dragon costume for Kipper because the children are putting on a play.Can you guess what the play is called?
Mum doesn't have much time to spend on the dragon costume,but Kipper likes it, and he likes the idea of being a dragon.
I wonder if you can guess the characters that are going to be in a play called' The little dragon.'
이 이야기는 '작은 용' 이라고 불립니다.앞으로 누가 작은 용이 되는지 알 수 있을거예요. 엄마가 키퍼를 위해서 용 의상을 만들고 있어요,왜냐하면 아이들이 연극을 올릴 예정이거든요. 연극을 무엇이라고 부를까 알아 맞춰보세요.
거기에 나오는 주인공들을 보면 ' 작은 용'이라고 부를것이라고 생각해 낼 수 있는지 궁금하네요.

It was the half-term holiday. There wasn't much to do, so the children put on a play. The play was called ' The little dragon.' Wilf had written it, and he was in charge of the actors. Wilf had asked Dad to be in the play. At first Dad was pleased, but then Wilf told Dad that he had to play the part of a tree.
' But what do I have to do? asked Dad.
' Just stand there,' said Wilf.
' It's not much of a part,' complained Dad.
학기중의 중간 휴가 기간 이었어요. 별로 할일이 많지 않아서, 아이들은 연극을 공연했어요. 연극의 이름은' 작은 용' 이었어요. 윌프가 그것을 썼고, 그리고 배우역할도 했어요. 윌프는 아빠에게 연극에 참여해 달라고 요청했어요. 처음에 아빠는 기뻤어요, 그러나 윌프가 아빠에게 나무의 한 부분을 연기해 달라고 햇어요.
'그렇지만 내가 뭘 하는거니? 아빠가 물었어요.
'그냥 거기 서있으면 돼요' 하고 윌프가 말했어요.

Chip had a good part. He was the king. He had an old red curtain for a cloak, and he had made a crown out of gold card.The king said that he was worried. He had heard that there was a fierce dragon in his land. Wilma came on to the stage. She had a helmet and a wooden sword. ' I am the king,' said Chip. He looked sternly at Wilma. ' Fight the dragon,' he said.

Wilma looked good as a kngiht. She had made herself a tabard out of an old sheet and painted a red cross on it. She also had the plastic helmet that was in Biff and Chip's dressing-up box.
She held up her sword and raised her arm. ' I am the knight,' said Wilma. ' So I will fight the dragon. I am not afraid.' ' The dragon is very fierce,' said the king, ' but if you slay it, I will give you gold and and chewing gum.'
' I'm getting fed up with being a tree,' said Dad.
윌마는 기사로서 훌륭해 보였습니다. 그녀는 오래된 종이로 만든,빨간 십자가를 그려넣어 갑옷위에 입는 겉옷을 만들어 입었습니다.

The king said, ' I am very busy. I must go back to my castle at once.' The knight said, ' I will search for the dragon, and slay it.'
Then Chip and Wilma went off. Next, Wilf came on with a sign that said ' Scene 2', and in came the dragon. Everyone laughed, because the dragon was Kipper, and he wan't very fierce. 'I am the dragon, ' said Kipper. ' But I am a little dragon.' ' I am the tree,' thought Dad, ' and my arms are aching.'
왕은 ' 내가 매우 바쁘니 바로 성으로 돌아가봐야 하겠다 . 라고 말했어요. 기사는' 제가 용을 찾아서 죽이겠습니다 ' 라고 말햇어요.칩과 윌마는 퇴장했어요. 다음으로 윌프가 '2막'이라는 표지를 들고 들어 왔어요, 그리고 용도 등장했어요. 모두들 웃었어요, 왜냐하면 그 용은 키퍼 였기 때문이었고, 그다지 무섭지 않았어요. 키퍼가 ' 나는 용이다' 라고 말했어요. 그렇지만 나는 작은 용이다' 아빠는 ' 나는 나무다 ' 그리고 내 팔에 통증이 온다 ' 라고 생각했어요.

Then Biff came on to the stage. She was in a dress and she had a little crown on her head. When the dragon heard Biff coming he ran away and pretended to hide.
' I am the princess,' said Biff. ' But I'm fed up. There's nothing to do and I have nobody to play with. The knight has gone to fight the dragon. But I don't believe the dragon is fierce at all. I like dragons.' ' This is a long play,' thought Dad.
비프가 무대위로 올라 왔어요. 그녀는 드레스를 입고 작은 왕관을 그녀의 머리에 쓰고 있었어요. 그 용은 비프가 오는 소리를 듣고 도망가서 숨는 척 했어요.

The dragon saw that the princess wasn't afraid of him, so he came out from his hiding place.
'You're just a little dragon,' said Biff. 'Do you want to play? ' The princess played with the dragon.They played under the tree. The princess took off her dress and her crown, and hung them both on the branches of the tree. 'My big moment' thought Dad.

Suddenly the knight came on to the stage.'I am the knight,' said Wilma. ' I have come to slay the fierce dragon. Then people will say I am the bravest knight in the land.'
Wilma help up her sword. ' Are yo ready to fight, Fierce Dragon? '
' No, I am frightened,' said the dragon.'I don't like fighting. Besides, I am only little.'
'Phew!' said Dad to himself. ' My arms are dropping off.'
갑자기 기사가 무대위로 올라왔어요. '나는 기사다!' 윌미가 말했어요. 나는 사악한 용을 죽이려고 왔다. 그러면 사람들은 나를 이나라에서 가장 용감한 기사라고 말할것이다.'

'I am cross! said the princess. ' Why do knights always have to slay dragons? Anyone can see that this dragon isn't fierce or dangerous. In fact, he's very friendly.' ' Thank you ,' said the dragon.
'It is my job to slay dragons,' said the knight, grandly.

'Well, I hope they are good at swimming,' said the princess, and she pushed the knight in the pond.' Everyone cheered.
The pond was the padding pool. Wilf had put it on to the stage in the last scene.
'I don't think the tree had a very good part,' thought Dad.
'난 화가 났어 ' 라고 공주님이 말했어요.' 왜 기사들은 항상 용을 죽여야만 하지? 누구나 이 용은 사납지도 위험하지도 않다는걸 알 수 있어.사실, 이 용은 너무 친근해'
' 고마워' 용은 말했어요.
' 용을 죽이는 것은 내 일입니다' 라고 근엄하게 기사가 말했어요.
그것이야 말로 기사가 잘 하는 일이랍니다'
'글쎄 , 수영도 잘 했으면 하는데' 하면서 공주는 연못으로 기사를 밀어 넣었어요. 모두가 환호성을 질렀어요.
그 연못은 패딩풀 이었어요.윌프는 마지막 장면에서 그것을 무대에 올려 놓았었어요.
'나무 역할은 별로 좋은 역이 아닌것 같군' 하고 아빠는 생각했어요.

That was the end of the paly. The audience clapped and the actors took a bow.
As a tree, Dad Couldn't bow without bending his trunk, so he just stood and waved his branches.
Then the audience began to clap even more loudly.
' What a good play,' said everyone.
The children were pleased. 'It was only a short play,' they said, 'We enjoyed it so much, let's do it all over again.'
'Oh no!' said Dad.
그것이 연극의 끝이었어요.청중은 박수를 쳤고 배우들은 고개숙여 인사를 했어요.
나무역을 하고있는 아빠는 그의 나무 줄기를 구부리지 않고는 인사를 할 수가 없었어요,그래서 그냥 서있었고 그의 나뭇가지을 흔들었어요.
그러자 청중들은 더 크게 박수를 치기 시작했어요.
'정말 좋은 연극이었어' 라고 모두들 말했어요.
아이들은 즐거웠어요.' 비록 짧은 연극이었지만 우리는 무척 즐겼어요, 모두 다시 하면 합시다 라고 말했어요. ' 아빠는 ' 오 안돼!' 라고 말했어요.
