This story is called ¡®it¡¯s the weather¡¯. What sort of weather can you see in this picture, as Mrs May arrives at school?
How can you tell that is is very, ery windy? Mrs may doesn¡¯t look at all happy. She has a special reason for not liking windy days. If we read the story we can find out why.

It was one of those days. ¡®Oh dey¡¯ thought Mrs May. ¡®I¡¯m not looking forward to today.¡¯

Mrs May was right. The children were noisy. They chattered and laughed. At one pint they even shouted.
Mrs May°¡ ¸Â¾Ò¾î¿ä. ¾ÆÀ̵éÀº ½Ã²ô·¯¿ü¾î¿ä. ¶°µé°í ¿ô¾ú¾î¿ä. ¾î¶² ¶§´Â ¼Ò¸®¸¦ Áö¸£±âµµ Çß¾î¿ä.

Mrs May never let them shout in her classroom.
Mrs May´Â ±³½Ç¿¡¼­´Â Àý´ë ¼Ò¸®¸¦ Áö¸£Áö ¸øÇÏ°Ô Çϰŵç¿ä.

¡®Sssh!¡¯ went Mrs May. ¡®I want you all to stop what you¡¯re doing.¡¯
¡®½²!¡¯ Mrs May°¡ ¸»Çß¾î¿ä. ¡®¸ðµÎ ÇÏ´ø °ÍÀ» ¸ØÃß¼¼¿ä.¡¯

She made the children look at her. Then she made them cross their arms.
±×³à´Â ¾ÆÀ̵éÀÌ ±×³à¸¦ º¸µµ·Ï ¸¸µé¾ú¾î¿ä.

And then she said, ¡®If you¡¯re very, very quiet- as quiet as mice &±×¸®°í´Â ¾ÆÀ̵鿡°Ô ÆȯÀ» ³¢¶ó°í Çß¾î¿ä. ±×¸®°í ¸»Çß¾î¿ä. ¡®¸¸¾à ¾ÆÁÖ, ¾ÆÁÖ Á¶¿ëÈ÷ Çϸé-Á㸸ŭ Á¶¿ëÈ÷ Çϸé-¿©·¯ºÐÀÌ °¡Àå ÁÁ¾ÆÇÏ´Â À̾߱⸦ ÀоîÁÖ°Ú¾î¿ä.¡¯

And so, for a little while, all the children were quiet.

Mrs May was glad to have her cup of coffee at breaktime, and the children went outside to play.
Mrs May´Â ½¬´Â ½Ã°£¿¡ Ä¿ÇǸ¦ ¸¶½Ç ¼ö ÀÖ¾î ÁÁ¾Ò°í ¾ÆÀ̵éÀº ¹Û¿¡¼­ ³î¾Ò¾î¿ä.

But when they came back in, they seemed very excited.
±×·¯³ª ¾ÆÀ̵éÀÌ µ¹¾Æ¿ÔÀ» ¶§ ¾ÆÀ̵éÀº ¸Å¿ì ½ÅÀÌ ³ª º¸¿´¾î¿ä.

¡®Oh dear¡¯ said Mrs May. ¡®I¡¯m not looking forward to the rest of the morning.¡¯
¡®¿À Àú·±,¡¯ Mrs May°¡ ¸»Çß¾î¿ä. ¡®³ª¸ÓÁö ¿ÀÀüµµ ±â´ëµÇÁö ¾Ê´Â°É.¡¯

Mrs May was right. They weren¡¯t just excited, the children were silly.
Mrs May°¡ ¸Â¾Ò¾î¿ä. ¾ÆÀ̵éÀº ½ÅÀÌ ³­ °Í»Ó¸¸ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ¹Ùº¸°°¾Ò¾î¿ä.

On Chip¡¯s table everyone was badly behaved.
ChipÀÇ Ã¥»ó¿¡¼­ ¸ðµÎµé ¾ÆÁÖ À߸ø ÇൿÇÏ°í ÀÖ¾ú¾î¿ä. Mrs May°¡ ¹«½¼ ÀÏÀÌ ÀϾ°í ÀÖ

Chip was about to throw a paper dart when Mrs may came across to see what was going on.

You can imagine what mrs May said to them all.

Mrs may was right about it being ¡®one of those days¡¯. Not only were the children noisy and silly. Some of the children were messy. Some of the children were untidy.
Mrs MayÀÇ ÀÌ·± ³¯¿¡ ´ëÇÑ °ÍÀÌ ¸Â¾Ò¾î¿ä. ¾ÆÀ̵éÀº ½Ã²ô·´°í ¾î¸®¼®Àº °Í»Ó¸¸ ¾Æ´Ï¿´¾î¿ä. ¸î¸î ¾ÆÀ̵éÀº ÁöÀúºÐÇϱâ±îÁö Çß¾î¿ä. ¸î¸î ¾ÆÀ̵éÀº Á¤¸®¸¦ Àß ¾ÈÇß°í¿ä.

When Mrs May went to see how they were getting on in the activities corner, she wasn¡¯t very pleased.

There was paper and spilt paint on the floor , and one little boy had green paste all over his hands.

Mrs May was glad when it was the end of the morning. What a morning it had been! The children were noisy, silly and messy.

Now it was lunch-time and they were excited again. Mrs may looked out of the window.

The wind blew against the glass. Leaves and paper were being blown about in the playground.

She wished the wind would stop blowing so hard.

¡®Oh dear!¡¯ said Mrs May. She knew why the children were behaving badly.

¡®It¡¯s the weather,¡¯ she thought. ¡®And if this wind doesn¡¯t stop, I¡¯m not going to enjoy this afternoon.¡¯

Mrs May was right not to look forward to the afternoon.

She gave everyone a nice quiet activity, but some of the children had to work together and share things.

Mrs May tried to make sure that everyone knew just what they had to do, but the children were cross, and it wasn¡¯t long before Biff and a girl called aneena fell out.
Mrs May´Â ¾ÆÀ̵éÀÌ ¹«¾ùÀ» ÇØ¾ß ÇÏ´ÂÁö È®½ÇÈ÷ ¾Ëµµ·Ï ÇÏ·Á°í ³ë·ÂÇßÁö¸¸ ¾ÆÀ̵éÀº È­°¡ ³µ°í Biff¿Í Aneena°¡ ½Î¿ì´Â µ¥´Â ¿À·¡ °É¸®Áö ¾Ê¾Ò¾î¿ä.

Mrs May had to stop Biff and Aneena from quarreling. She also had to stop Chip, Wilf and some of the other children from joining in.

And what Mrs May couldn¡¯t do was stop Wilf and a girl called Rachel from falling out really badly.
±×¸®°í Mrs May°¡ Á¤¸» ÇÒ ¼ö ¾ø¾ú´ø °ÍÀº Wilf¿Í RachelÀÇ ´ÙÅùÀ» ¸»¸®´Â °ÍÀÌ¿´¾î¿ä.

Chip fetched Mrs May as quickly as he could ¡®Mrs May! Mrs May!¡¯ he said. ¡®Wilf and Rachel are crying.¡¯
ChipÀº Mrs May¿¡°Ô °¡´ÉÇÑ °¡Àå »¡¸® ¿Í¼­´Â ¡®May ¼±»ý´Ô, May ¼±»ý´Ô,¡¯ ±×°¡ ¸»Çß¾î¿ä. ¡®Wilf¿Í RachelÀÌ ¿ï¾î¿ä.¡¯

Mrs May came quickly and she soon made sure that both Rachel and Wilf said they were sorry.
Mrs May´Â ºü¸£°Ô °¡¼­ µÑ ´Ù À߸øÇß´Ù°í ¸»ÇÏ°Ô Çß¾î¿ä.

She made them shake hands and after that, everyone cheered up a bit.

But Mrs May knew why the children were unhappy.

Suddenly the wind stopped crashing and beating against the window. Instead, it began to rain.
°©ÀÚ±â â¹®À» µÎµå¸®´ø ¹Ù¶÷ÀÌ ¸ØÃè¾î¿ä. ´ë½Å ºñ°¡ ³»¸®±â ½ÃÀÛÇß¾î¿ä.

Mrs may called everyone together, and she made them look out of theh window.
Mrs May´Â ¾ÆÀ̵éÀ» ¸ðµÎ ºÒ·¯ ¹ÛÀ» º¸µµ·Ï Çß¾î¿ä.

¡®Oh dear,¡¯ said Mrs May. ¡®I want you all to listen. Today has not been a good day. You have been excited, noisy, untidy, grumpy and unhappy. And I can tell you why. It¡¯s the weather.
¡®¿À Àú·±,¡¯ Mrs May°¡ ¸»Çß¾î¿ä. ¡®¸ðµÎµé Àß µéÀ¸¼¼¿ä. ¿À´ÃÀº ÀßÇÏÁö ¸øÇß¾î¿ä. ¸ðµÎµé ÈïºÐÇؼ­ ½Ã²ô·´°í, Á¤¸®Á¤µ·µµ Àß ÇÏÁö ¾Ê°í, È­³»°í ½Î¿ü°Åµç¿ä. ±× ÀÌÀ¯¸¦ ¸»ÇØÁÙ²²¿ä. ³¯¾¾¶§¹®ÀÌ¿¹¿ä.

Now look outside and tell me what¡¯s happening.

¡®It¡¯s raining,¡¯ said Wilf.
¡®ºñ°¡ ¿Í¿ä.¡¯ Wilf°¡ ¸»Çß¾î¿ä.

¡®And what else?¡¯ asked Mrs May.
¡®±×¸®°í ´Ù¸¥ °ÍÀº¿ä?¡¯ Mrs May°¡ ¹°¾ú¾î¿ä.

¡®The wind¡¯s stopped blwoing.¡¯ Said Biff.
¡®¹Ù¶÷ÀÌ ¸ØÃè¾î¿ä.¡¯ Biff°¡ ¸»Çß¾î¿ä.

¡®Good,¡¯ said Mrs May. ¡®Now that the wind¡¯s stopped blowing we can all settle down and have a nice, quiet end to the day.¡¯

It wans¡¯t long before the rain stopped and very soon, the sun was shining.

It was hard to believe that, earlier on, the weather had been so bad.

¡®What a relief!¡¯ thought Mrs May, and she let the children choose what they wanted to do.

Well, Mrs May was glad when the day was over and it was time for the children to go home.
