| Stage 3 stories - Nobody wanted to play (아무도 놀고 싶지 않아요)
* Cover/Introduction (겉표지/소개)이 이야기는 Wilf와 Biff, Chip,
This is a story about Wilf and What happened when Biff, Chip and Wilma wouldn’t play with him because they didn’t want to do what he wanted to do. When nobody wanted to play with him, Wilf went off by himself. He wasn’t alone because he had Floppy with him. Floppy went along to look after Wilf and Keep an eye on him because it isn’t always a good idea to go off somewhere when you are all by yourself, is it?
Wilma가 그가 하고 싶은 일을 하고 싶지 않아 그와 놀아주지 않았을 때 무슨 일이 일어났

Wilf was cross. He had fallen out with everyone because nobody wanted to do what he wanted to do.
Wilf는 화가 났어요. 그는 아이들과 함께 있지 않았어요. 왜냐하면 아이들은 그가 하고 싶어하는 것을 하고 싶지 않았거든요.
Biff, Chip, and Wilma wanted to go indoors and watch television, but Wilf didn’t
Biff, Chip, Wilma는 집에서 텔레비전을 보고 싶어했지만 Wilf는 아니였어요.
Wilf wanted to go somewhere on his bicycle. The others didn’t want to go with Wilf. They wanted to watch a special programme.
Wilf는 자전거를 타고 어디로 가고 싶었어요. 다른 아이들은 Wilf와 가고 싶지 않았어요. 그들은 특별한 프로그램을 보고 싶었어요.
In the end, Wilf started to argue and call the others names. Biff, Chip and Wilma said he was silly, and they didn’t want to play with him.
결국, Wilf는 아이들과 말다툼 끝에 욕을 했어요. Biff, Chip, Wilma는 그가 어리석다고 했고 그와 놀려고 하지 않았어요.
So that’s why Wilf was cross.
그래서 Wilf가 화가 난 것이예요.

Nobody wanted to play. SO Wilf got on his bicycle and started to ride away.
아무도 놀고 싶지 않았어요. 그래서 Wilf는 자전거를 타고 달리기 시작했어요.
‘Don’t you worry!’ he shouted back crossly at the others. I’ll find somewhere to play where I don’t need you!’
‘걱정하지마!’ 화가 난 듯 다른 아이들에게 소리쳤어요. ‘너희들 필요없이 놀 곳을 찾을테니까.’
As he cycled off he remembered the park. It had swings and roundabouts and slides and a climbing frame. So that’s where Wilf decided to go.
자전거를 타고 가면서 그는 공원이 떠올랐어요. 그네도 있고, 뺑뺑이도 있고, 미끄럼틀도 있고 정글짐도 있었어요. 그래서 Wilf는 그곳으로 가기로 했어요.
Wilf went to the park. Floppy ran to the park too. ‘I suppose I’d better Keep an eye on him.’ Though Floppy. ‘Besides, it’s better than going off to watch television.’
Wilf는 공원에 갔어요. Floppy도 공원으로 왔어요. ‘그를 잘 봐야 하겠는걸.’ Floppy가 생각했어요. ‘그리고, 텔레비전 보는 것보다는 이것이 나아.’

There was nobody in the park. Wilf was pleased. He didn’t mind playing all by himself.
공원에는 아무도 없었어요. Wilf는 만족스러웠어요. 그는 혼자 노는 것을 상관하지 않았거든요.
One of the climbing frames was hsaped like a space-rocket. Wilf played on the rocket.
정글짐 중에 하나는 우주 로켓 모양이였어요. Wilf는 로켓 위에서 놀기 시작했어요.
He begant to imagine that he was the captain of a space- craft flying through space.
그는 자신이 우주를 날고 있는 우주선의 선장이라고 상상하기 시작했어요.
‘I am a spaceman,’ he said.
‘난 우주비행사다’ 그가 말했어요.
Floppy watched Wilf. ‘I hope he’s going to play with me,’ he thought.
Floppy는 Wilf를 바라봤어요. ‘나랑 놀아줬으면 좋겠는데.’ 그가 생각했어요.

After a while, Wilf gree tired of being a spaceman. So he played on the see-saw. He climbed on to the middle of it and stood up.
한참 후, Wilf는 우주비행사 놀이가 재미가 없었어요. 그래서 그는 시소에서 놀기 시작했어요. 그는 중간에 올라가 섰어요.
Now that’s quite a hard thing to do because a see-saw tips one way then the other.
이제부터 어려워요. 시소는 이쪽 저쪽으로 기울거든요.
Wilf had a ball in his pocket and he began to throw the ball up in the air and catch it. He imagined he was a famous juggler at a circus.
Wilf는 주머니에 있는 공을 귀로 던져 잡기를 했어요. 그는 자신이 서커스에 있는 유명한 곡예사라고 상상했어요.
‘I’m a juggler,’ he said.
‘난 곡예사야.’ 그가 말했어요.
‘When is he going to play with me?’ thought Floppy.
‘언제 나랑 놀아주려나?’ Floppy가 생각했어요.

Balancing on the see-saw made Wilf’s legs ache, and pretending to be a juggler made his arms ache. So he got down from the see-saw and he played on the horse.
시소 위에서 균형을 잡고 있는 것은 Wilf의 다리를 아프게 했고, 곡예사를 흉내내는 것은 팔이 아팠어요. 그래서 그는 시소에서 내려와 말을 탔어요.
To make the horse rock, Wilf had to push with his arms and his legs as hard as he could. It was good fun making the horse rock backwards and forwards.
말을 움직이기 위해서 그는 할 수 있는한 세게 팔과 다리로 밀어야 했어요. 말을 앞뒤로 움직이는 것은 재미있었어요.
Wilf imagined he was a cowboy on a galloping horse.
Wilf는 자신이 빠른 말 위에 있는 카우보이라고 상상했어요.
‘He’s in a world of his own,’ thought Floppy. ‘I don’t think he even know I’m here.’
‘나는 카우보이다.’ 그가 말했어요.
‘그는 그 자신만의 세계에 있어.’ Floppy가 생각했어요. ‘아마 내가 여기 있다는 것은 알지도 못할꺼야.’

It was hard work on the rocking-horse so Wilf got off and he played on his bicycle for a little while. He rode round and round over the grass and went up and down all the lttle dips and bumps.

He imagined that he was a stuntman riding his motor bike and jumping over lots and lots cars.
그는 자신이 많고 많은 차를 뛰어넘는 오토바이를 타는 스턴트맨이라고 생각했어요.
‘I am a stuntman,’ he said.
‘나는 스턴트맨이다.’ 그가 말했어요.
‘If I’d known he wasn’t going to play with me,’ thought Floppy. ‘I’d have stayed at home and watched the television.’
‘그가 나랑 놀아주지 않을꺼란걸 알았다면,’ Floppy가 생각했어요. ‘집에서 텔레비전을 보고 있을텐데.’

After this, Wilf decided to go on the slide. He climbed up the ladder and he thought of those great big ladders that firemen climb up when they rescue people from tall buildings.

Wilf imagined that he was at the top of a fireman’s ladder.

‘I am a fireman,’ he said.

‘Look at him on that ladder,’ thought Floppy. ‘I’ll bet he think she’s a fireman.’

next, Wilf went on the climbing-wall. He climbed on the wall, and he remembered one of his favourite characters.

‘I am a spiderman,’ he said.
‘나는 스파이더맨이다.’ 그가 말했어요.
Floppy climbed up the bank above the climbing-wall. He looked at Wilf sadly.
Floppy는 경사진 벽의 위에 있는 뚝에 올라갔어요. 그는 Wilf를 슬픈 눈으로 바라보더니
‘I think he’s forgotten all about me,’ he thought.

‘Whoops!’ Poor Wilf. He was so busy day- dreaming that he didn’t look where he was going.
