| Stage 1 first words ; Floppy Floppy (플로피 플로피)
* Cover/Introduction
Floppy looks as if he’s in one of those moods where he wants to play. His front legs are down and his tail is wagging, if he can’t find anyone to play with, he’ll race everywhere as fast as he can.
Floppy가 놀고 싶어하는거 같아요. 앞다리를 뻗고 꼬리를 흔들어요. 만약에 놀아줄 사람을 아무도 찾지 못한다면 Floppy는 달릴 수 있는 최대한 빠르게 여기저기 뛰어다닐 꺼예요.

Floppy was full of energy. He raced round the garden.
Floppy는 신이 났어요. 그는 정원을 뛰어다녀요.
He ran in and out of the house.
집을 들락날락하고요.
He charged across the flower bed and jumped over the wall.
화단을 넘어다니고 담벽을 뛰어넘어요.
Biff was holding a tray of cups she almost dropped them as Floppy hurtled past.
Biff가 컵들이 얹어진 쟁반을 들고 있어요. Floppy가 지나가면서 부딪쳐 Biff는 거의 떨어뜨릴뻔 했어요.
‘Oh Floppy!’ said Biff, as he rushed past them. Kipper laughed.
‘오, Floppy!' Biff가 그들 옆을 빠르게 지나가는 Floppy에게 말했어요. Kipper가 웃었어요. ’
‘I think he’s gone crazy,’ he said.

Biff, Chip and Kipper were having a little picnic with Mum outside on the grass.
Biff, Kipper와 Chip은 엄마와 함께 풀밭에서 작은 피크닉을 즐기고 있어요.
It wasn’t a big pictnic &큰 피크닉은 아니예요 - 음료수랑 비스킷 한 두개 정도.
Floppy heard Chip tearing open the wrapping on the biscuits.
Floppy는 Chip이 비스킷 껍질을 벗기는 소리를 들었어요.
He rushed across and skidded to a stop. They he crouched down and looked at chip.
Floppy는 급하게 뛰어와서는 미끄러져 멈췄어요. 그리고는 웅크리고 앉아 Chip을 바라봤어요.
‘Look at him,’ laughed Mum. ‘I know what he’d say if he could talk.’
‘쟤좀 봐’ 엄마가 웃으며 말했어요. ‘난 그가 말할 수만 있다면 뭐라고 말했는지 알아.’
‘Well, he can’t have a biscuit,; said Chip. ‘It’s not good to spoil dogs by giving them biscuits.’
‘하지만 비스킷을 먹어선 안돼’라고 Chip이 말했어요. ‘비스킷을 줌으로써 개들을 버릇없게 만드는건 좋지 않아.’
Floppy gave a little bark.
Floppy가 짖었어요.
‘No Floppy!’ he said. You can’t have a biscuit.’
‘안돼, Floppy' 그가 말했어요. ’넌 비스킷을 먹을 수 없어‘

Dad saw the others outside, so he came out to join them on the rug.
아빠도 밖에 아이들이 있는 것을 보시고는 나와서 깔개에 함께 앉으셨어요.
He had made a plate of sandwiches.
아빠가 샌드위치를 만들어 왔어요.
Floppy ran up with a bone in his mouth. Floppy는 입에 뼈를 물고는 달려왔어요.
He put the bone down and started to dig a hole in the lawn.
그는 뼈를 옆에 놓고 땅을 파기 시작했어요.
‘He wants to bury his bone,’ said Kipper
‘뼈를 묻으려 하는거야’ Kipper가 말했어요.
Dirt began to fly all over the rug.
흙이 깔개 위로 날라오기 시작했어요.
‘Oh Floppy!’ said Dad.
‘오, Floppy!' 아빠가 말했어요.
‘Stop i. Go and bury your bone somewhere else in the garden.’
’그만해. 정원의 다른 곳에 가서 너의 뼈를 묻으렴‘

‘Floppy is in such a funny mood. He hasn’t stopped rushing about all day.’

Suddenly there was a miaow and a bark.
갑자기 고양이 울음소리와 개 짖는 소리가 났어요.
Floppy had seen the cat from next door and he began to chase it.
Floppy가 옆집 고양이를 보고는 쫓아다니기 시작한거예요.
The cat ran across the lawn and shot over the rug where everyone was sitting.
고양이는 잔디밭을 뛰어다녔고 모두가 앉아 있는 깔개를 지나갔어요.
‘No Floppy!’ shouted Mum, but it was too late.
‘안돼, Floppy' 엄마가 소리쳤지만 이미 늦었어요.
Floppy charged after the cat and leaped over the rug.
Floopy는 고양이 뒤를 쫓았고 깔개를 뛰어넘었어요.
‘Oh you crazy dog,’ said Dad.
‘오, 넌 흥분한 개야’아빠가 말했어요.

It was the end of a busy day for Floppy.

He was worn out with all the chasing about he had done.

He lay down on the grass and went fast asleep.
그는 풀밭에 누워 빠르게 잠이 들었답니다.
‘Just look at him,’ said Dad. ‘One minute he’s all over the place, the next he’s out like alight,’
‘Floppy 좀 봐’ 아빠가 말했어요. ‘방금 전에는 여기 저기 뛰어다니더니 이제는 지쳤군.’
‘I love the way he just flops down and goes to sleep,’ said Chip.
‘난 그가 쓰러져 잠드는 모습이 좋아요’ Chip이 말했어요.
‘No wonder he’s called Floppy.’
‘Floppy라 불리는 게 당연하죠’
‘Yes,’ agreed Biff. ‘Floppy Floppy.’
‘맞어’ Biff가 동의했어요. ‘Floppy Floppy'
