| Stage2 More Stories Pack B - The Wobbly Tooth(이가 흔들려요)
* Cover/Introduction (겉표지/소개)
Have you had a wobbly tooth yet? Kipper had a tooth that had been loose for a long time. He wanted to wait until it was loose enough to come out really easily, then he planned to put in under his pillow for the Tooth Fairy.
Things didn’t work out as Kipper had hoped and for a little while he was quite upset, but in the end everything turned out better than he could have imagined.
흔들리는 "이"를 가져본 적 있나요? Kipper은 오래전부터 이를 내버려 두었어요. Kipper는 이가 쉽게 빠질 때까지 기다렸다가 "이" 요정을 위해 그것을 베개에 넣을 계획을 세웠거든요.
Kipper의 바램대로 "이"가 쉽게 빠지지 않아 Kipper가 화가 났네요. 그러나 Kipper가 상상하던 것보다 더욱 좋게 상황이 바뀌었네요.

Kipper had a wobbly tooth. When he told Mum she said.
Kipper는 흔들리는 "이"가 있었어요. Kipper가 엄마를 부르자 엄마가 말했어요.
‘That’s surprising, Kipper. Most children lose their milk teeth when they’ re six years old. You’re still only five.’
" 어머 놀라워라..Kipper야.. 대부분 아이들은 유치가 6살 때 빠찌는데 넌 아직 5살이잖니..."
‘I expect he’s advanced for his age,’ said Dad.
"나이보다 성숙한 걸로 보이는데..."아빠가 말했어요.
Kipper held the loose tooth with his finger and thumb and gave it a little wiggle. ‘If it comes out,’ he said, ‘Will the Tooth Fairy come and bring me a coin?’
Kipper가 흔들리는 "이"를 손가락으로 집어 흔들어 보았어요.."만약 이것이 빠진다면..."이" 요정이 와 내게 동전을 줄까요?"
‘Of course,’ said Dad.
"그럼~!!" 아빠가 말했어요.
Biff wanted to pull the tooth out, but Kipper said, ‘Leave my wobbly tooth alone.’
Biff는 얼른 "이"를 뽑기를 바랬지만 Kipper가 말했죠.."내 흔들리는 "이"를 내버려둬!!"

Kipper’s tooth was loose for ages and ages, but gradually it became more and more wobbly. When Kipper wiggled it with his finger and thumb, it made a little squelchy noise.
Kipper의 "이"는 날이 가도록 내버려 두었어요.그러나 "이"는 더욱더 흔들렸어요. Kipper가 손가라과 엄지 손가락으로 "이"를 흔들어 보았을 때, 약간의 '우두둑'소리가 났어요.
‘It’s getting really wobbly now,’ he said.
"이게 지금 매우 흔들리고 있는데~~"
Mum wanted to pull it out. ‘I can’t bear the way it makes that squelching noise every time you wiggle it,’ she said. ‘Let me give it one good pull.’
엄마는 이걸 빼고 싶어했어요. "더 기다릴 수 없어..너가 흔들때마다 소리가 나잖니~~" 엄마가 말했어요. "내가 잘 빼줄께~~"
‘Go on,’ said Biff. ‘Let Mum do it. She pulled all mine out.’ Kipper ran into his room. ‘No,’ said Kipper. ‘Leave my wobbly tooth alone.’
"그래요. 엄마에게 맡겨.. 엄마가 내것도 다 빼줬어..~~"하고 Biff가 말했어요. Kipper가 도망치며 외쳤어요.."No~~내 흔들리는 "이"를 내버려둬!!"

Dad wanted to pull it out and he liked making everyone laugh, so he went to the garage and found a huge pair of pliers.
아빠가 그 "이"를 뽑기를 원했어요. 그러면서 모두를 웃게 하고 싶었어요. 그래서 아빠는 창고에 가서 커다란 펜치를 찾았지요.
Then he made the jaws of the pliers go ‘snap , snap, snap’, and he said , in a funny deep voice, ‘This is my new tooth-puller-outer. Where is the little boy with the wobbly tooth?’
펜치의 목을 잡고 'snap,snap,snap' 두껍고 우스운 목소리로 외쳤어요. "이건 내 새로운 "이"를 뽑는 기계지!! 흔들리는 "이"를 가진 꼬마가 어디있지??" 모두들 웃었어요.
‘No, no, no!’ said Kipper. ‘Leave my wobbly tooth alone and find someone else to use your puller-outer on.’
"No,no,no 흔들리는 내 "이"를 내버려 두세요. 그 새 기계를 사용할 다른 사람을 찾아보세요." Kipper가 말했어요.

Later that day, Biff, Chip, and Kipper were out in the garden. Biff went on the swing and Kipper pushed her.
다음날, Chip, Biff와 Kipper는 정원에 있었어요. Biff는 그네를 타러 갔고 Kipper는 누나를 밀어주었어요.
Biff had just learned to jump off the swing when it was still swinging. She liked to see how far away from it she could land.
Biff는 그네를 탈때 점프하는 법을 배웠답니다. Biff는 땅에서 얼마나 멀리 갔는지를 보는 것을 좋아했어요.
The more she practiced, the farther she managed to jump
점점 연습할 수록 Biff는 멀리 뛸 수 있었어요.
Just as Biff jumped, Chip, who was in the shed, tapped on the window and called Kipper.
Biff가 뛰자, 차고에 있던 Chip이 창문을 두드리며 Kipper를 불렀어요.

Kipper turned round to see what Chip wanted and oh no! The swing hit Kipper with a nasty crack.
Chip이 왜 불렀는지 Kipper가 돌아본 순간 Oh No~~무시무시한 쿵하는 소리와 함께 그네가 Kipper를 쳤어요
Biff and Chip gasped. It was terrible moment. Biff felt as if it was her fault because she had jumped off the swing, and Chip felt it was his fault because he had made Kipper turned around.
Biff와 Chip은 놀랐어요. 그건 너무 무서운 상황이었네요. Biff는 이것이 자신의 잘못이라고 생각했어요. 자신이 그네에서 뛰어내렸기 때문이었지요.Chip는 자기의 잘못이라고 생각했어요. 왜냐면 자신이 Kipper를 돌아보게 했으니까요..

Biff and Chip expected Kipper to cry, but he didn’t. Instead he put his hand to his mouth.
Biff와 Chip는 Kipper가 울거라고 예상했어요. 그러나 Kipper는 울지 않았어요. 대신 Kipper는 손을 입으로 가져갔지요.
Mum and Dad rushed out of the house to see if Kipper was all right.
엄마와 아빠는 Kipper가 괜찮은지 보러 집에서 뛰어나왔어요.
Kipper was carefully feeling for his wobbly tooth but it was not there any more.
Kipper는 자신의 흔들리는 "이"가 괜찮은지 조심스레 보았지만 그것은 더이상 그곳에 없었답니다. "이"가 없어 졌어..
The tooth was gone, Kipper had swallowed it.

Kipper was upset. What would he do now that the wobbly tooth had gone? Most of all he was worried about the Tooth Fairy. Without the tooth he wouldn’t be able to put the envelope under his pillow with the tooth in it.
Kipper는 화가 났어요. 흔들리던 "이"가 없어져서 Kipper가 지금 어떻게 해야 할까요? Kipper가 걱정하는 것은 "이" 요정이에요. "이"가 없으면 베개에 "이"를 넣을 수가 없잖아요.
This mean the Tooth Fairy wouldn’t come in the night and exchange the tooth for a coin.
이건 "이"요정이 와서 "이"와 동전을 바꿔 줄 수 없단 의미잖아요.

Just before bedtime, Biff and Chip came into Kipper’s room. They gave him a coin.
잠자리에 들기 전에 Biff와 Chip은 Kipper의 방으로 왔어요. Biff와 Chip는 Kipper에게 동전을 주었어요.
‘Sorry,’ said Biff and Chip. ‘It was out fault your swallowed your tooth. This is what the Tooth Fairy would have brought you if you’d had the tooth to put under your pillow.’
"미안해.. 너가 "이"를 삼킨건 우리의 잘못이야. 만약 너가 그 "이"를 베개 밑에 넣었다면 "이" 요정이 이것을 주었을 꺼야..."
‘’Thanks,’ said Kipper.
"고마워.." Kipper가 말했어요.
Later, Mum came into Kipper’s room. ‘Never mind,’ said Mum. ‘It’s a shame you’ve swallowed your tooth but it won’t matter.’ She gave Kipper a coin.
그 후에 엄마가 Kipper의 방에 왔어요. "걱정하지 말아라.."이"를 삼킨건 창피하겠지만 그건 문제가 되지않아..." 엄마가 말하면서 Kipper에게 동전을 주었답니다.
‘This is what the Tooth Fairy would have left under your pillow if you’d had the tooth to put there.’
“이 "이"가 베개밑에 있었다면 "이" 요정이 이 동전을 주었을거야.."
‘Thanks,’ said Kipper.
"고마워요.."Kipper가 말했어요.
Later still, Dad came into Kipper’s room. ‘Never mind,’ said Dad. ‘You’ve lots more teeth to come out,’ He gave Kipper a coin. ‘This is what the Tooth Fairy would have given you if you’d had a tooth to leave her. Don’t be sad.’
그 후에 아빠가 Kipper의 방에 왔어요. "걱정하지 말아라..앞으로 뽑을 "이"가 많지 않니..."아빠가 동전을 Kipper에게 주었어요.."이" 요정에게 남길 "이"가 있었다면 요정이 이것을 주었을 거야...슬퍼하지 말아라.."
‘I’m not sad,’ said Kipper.
"난 슬프지 않아요."Kipper가 말했어요..
