[ESÈ°¿ë]3´Ü°è More Stories Pack A - Kipper's Idea
Cover/Introduction
This stroy is about what happened when Kipper had a bad time at school because of some older children. You see Kipper had to face up to two older children. You see Kipper had to face up to two older girls who were teasing him in a nasty sort of way.Everyone has to face up to horrible people to some time, and the best thing to do is to do what Kipper did.

Kipper had only just started going to school. He liked it very much at first but then he came up against two girls who were much bigger than he was. These two girls liked to pick on the smaller children and make fun of them. And suddenly, for no reason at all, they picked on Kipper. They called him names like 'Mop Head' or 'Moon Face' and Kipper didn't like it at all.
In fact one morning he pretended he didn't feel very well he wouldn't get ready for school. In the end Dad made him get his things and Dad took Kipper to school without Biff and Chip.

On the way Dad said, 'Why didn't you want to go to school today, Kipper? Perhaps it would be a good idea to talk about it.'
So Kipper told Dad about the nasty girls.
' I don't like school any more,' said Kipper.
Dad said, ' Why didn't you tell Biff and Chip. I'm sure they would stand up to these two girls.'
But Kipper said, ' I don't want them to fight my battles for me.
Dad said he was pleased about that and he tried to cheer Kipper up. They went past the library. A lady was painting the wall on the side of the building.
'That looks nice,' said Dad. 'It's a good way to cheer up a scruffy-looking wall.

Kipper didn't feel cheerful for very long.Over by the playground wall were the two girls-Mandy Sprules and Joanna Walker. There was a drawing on the wall. It was a drawing of Kipper.
Mandy Sprules was finishing the drawing off with a piece of chalk.Joanna Walker pointed at Kipper and began to tease him. None of the other children liked the two girls. In fact they were afraid of them.

Kipper did what his Dad suggested. He went and told the teacher who was on duty. He was lucky because it was Mrs May.The wall looked a mess.Mrs May was cross. She found out from the children the names of all those who had been teased by Mandy and Joanna. I don't know what Mrs May said to them but one thing was for sure-they would never be nasty to smaller children again.
'Sorry,Kipper,' they both said.
But Mrs May hadn't finished. She made Mandy and Joanna clean off the nasty pictures, although some were done in felt markers and wouldn't come off.

Kipper was in Miss Green's class. He liked Miss Green and today she was letting them paint pictures. ' I want you to put a picture of a friend, or someone at home,' said Miss Green.
Kipper decided to paint a picture of Dad and while the children were painting, Kipper had an idea.He remembered how Dad had said that the lady painting the wall of the library was brightening up a scruffy wall.'Why don't we paint a picture on the playground wall?' he said.
' What do you mean,Kipper?'asked Miss Green.
' We could all paint faces on the wall. We could all paint a friend. The faces could all look happy and it would brighten up a scruffy wall.'
' What a good idea,'said Miss Green.
